Appendix A Target Types

This appendix provides information about targets containing stored procedures.

A target is a database or server that contains stored procedures that Application Integrator components can invoke. This appendix includes the following information about each target:

The JDBC driver used for the target.
Whether the target can be accessed by drivers included with the Component Builder, or if it requires a third-party JDBC driver.
The type of connection that should be created in the Component Builder for the target.
Parameters needed to create connections for the target.
Whether methods can be created from the target and automatically added to the component or must be created manually. This depends on the level of procedure metadata supported by the JDBC driver and target server.
JDBC statement types the target supports.
Additional known target idiosyncrasies.
