This appendix describes how to create Java programs that connect to EAServer and execute component methods using the EAServer 1.1 client model. This client model is obsolete, but supported to provide backward compatibility with existing Java clients that were developed for EAServer version 1.1. For new development, use the EJB or CORBA-Java client models.
The EAServer 1.1 client model is based on version 0.4
of the Enterprise JavaBeans Specification. Chapter 8, "Creating Enterprise JavaBeans Clients" describes how to create
current-version EJB clients.
